Reports
Manitoba Ombudsman receives thousands of complaints and opens hundreds of investigations under our four mandates each year. Investigation reports are only published publicly if the Ombudsman feels the matter in the report is of significant public interest and impact, or when required. Investigation reports may find that a complaint is supported (evidence is found that supports the nature or the complaint) or not supported (no evidence to support the nature of the complaint) and can provide the findings and conclusion of the investigation. In some cases, the report will also have recommendations made to the public body or trustee that we ask them to review, respond to and accept. Our goal is to help improve public services with strengthened practices of fairness, transparency, accountability and privacy protection. Here you will find investigation and monitoring reports, audits and reviews, and annual reports. You will also find our status reports on the implementation of recommendations made in Provincial Court of Manitoba inquests.
