Summary
An individual made a complaint to the Ombudsman that the Executive Council Office did not respond to their request for information within the 45-day timeframe outlined under FIPPA. We reviewed the circumstances and timelines of the request and discussed the request with the public body. We found the Executive Council Office failed to respond to the complainant’s request within 45 days as set out under FIPPA and we supported the complaint. The Ombudsman made a recommendation that the Executive Council Office respond to the request within a specified timeframe.
