Jill Perron Reappointed for Second Term as Ombudsman

Ombudsman Jill Perron has been reappointed by the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba to serve a second term as Manitoba’s ombudsman. Jill Perron was first appointed in May 2019 and is Manitoba’s eighth ombudsman.

The ombudsman is appointed on the recommendation of the all-party Standing Committee of the Assembly on Legislative Affairs. The Ombudsman Act establishing the position and the office was passed in 1970.
