Acting Ombudsman Marc Cormier is pleased to announce the opening of a shared office in Thompson with the Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth. The office is part of a two-year pilot project to more effectively connect people in Thompson and the north with the ombudsman’s and advocate’s services.

“This partnership between two independent offices will help us deliver our respective services in a unique way,” said Cormier. “Having an office in Thompson will open the door to some exciting possibilities in terms of making connections with the citizens we serve and building relationships with public bodies in the area.”

The office is located in City Centre Mall at 300 Mystery Lake Road in Thompson. The grand opening event will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. All are welcome to attend.
